Accessibility Statement
We want PMMITRA.com to be usable by everyone, regardless of device, technology or ability.
Our commitment
This website aims to conform to the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. It is designed to work with assistive technologies, on mobile devices and in current browsers.
Accessibility features
- Skip to main content link in the top bar, to bypass repeated navigation.
- Text resize — A- / A / A+ controls in the top bar change the text size across the site.
- High contrast toggle in the top bar for stronger text and border contrast.
- Keyboard navigation — menus, links, forms and FAQ accordions can be used without a mouse.
- Visible focus — a clear outline shows which element has keyboard focus.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Consistent structure — one H1 per page, logical headings, breadcrumbs and landmark regions.
- Colour contrast designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA; colour is not the only means of conveying information.
